Beautiful but not functional as a backpack

I love this bag so much but will be returning because the backpack conversion does not work with any amount of weight in the bag. I need my briefcase to function as a backpack because I often am carrying 5-10 pounds of trial paperwork to court in addition to the usual tech. I wanted to love it so much. But the strap used for making it a backpack has several problems: 1) it does not stay put so the bag moves around and side to side; 2) the strap is extremely uncomfortable when the bag is full; 3) the strap does not size down small enough for me as a woman either in backpack form or as a messenger carry, partially due to the immovability of the shoulder pad; 4) I am confident that the backpack strap top anchor will break within a year from the weight. I am begging you please make the backpack straps usable 😭
